2014 National Building Steel Structure Industry Conference with the theme of ‘building industrialization’, sponsored by China Building Metal Structure Association and hosted by Hubei Hongyi Steel Structure Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully held from April 17 to April 19 in Wuhan. Yu Dongyun, chairman of Liaoning Provincial Building Metal Structure Association, participated in the conference on behalf of the association.　　
Steel Structure Branch Association of China Building Metal Structure Association announced overall assessment results of 2013 annual steel structure industry, enterprises and advanced individuals made prominent contribution to the industry during the conference. A total of 354 awards, including 132 China steel structure gold awards, etc. were presented in the conference. Li Shijun, former Deputy Secretary-General and chief analyst of China Steel Industry Association, Yao Bing, the former chief engineer in Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Chairman of China Building Metal Structure Association, and Dang Baowei, Chairman in Steel Structure Branch Association of China Building Metal Structure Association, respectively gave keynote speech with the topics of ‘thinking of steel structure - steel industry chain construction’, ‘steel structure enterprise expansion development’ and ‘2013 steel structure industry development report’.

132 of 354 awards are ‘the eleventh (2013-2014) first-batch Chinese steel structure gold awards’; 52 awards belong to ‘2014-2016 building steel structure industry recommended brand (reputation AAA) enterprises’; 30 awards belong to ‘2013 annual national steel structure industry top 30 enterprises’; 10 awards belong to ‘2013 annual building metal roof (wall) top 10 enterprises’; 68 awards belong to ‘the ninth national steel structure project excellent constructors’; 29 awards belong to ‘2013 annual national steel structure industry outstanding entrepreneurs’; 33 awards belong to ‘2013 annual outstanding workers of national building steel structure industry association’.

National building steel structure industry conference is a grand meeting of building steel structure industry. State-owned ‘China Steel Structure Association’ and ‘China Building Metal Structure Association’ respectively hold annual meeting in April and October once a year in the steel structure industry. All local steel structure association (society and commerce chamber) also can hold own annual meeting in fixed time each year. For example, Beijing Building Steel Structure Branch Association will hold annual meeting in December each year in Beijing. The annual meeting integrates national steel structure industry development discussion and national steel structure entrepreneur forum. These meetings of steel structure industry provide exhibition and exchange platform for new technology, new materials and new equipment in building steel structure industry. In-depth cooperation of related industry chain enterprise and products is promoted. Transformation and updating of steel structure are accelerated. These meeting can assist enterprises to develop new market of product marketing and search new partners. These meetings show progress direction for development of steel structure enterprises and further promote overall healthy and steady development of steel structure industry.
